The problem of sinusitis is emerging as an epidemic in metropolitan cities. Sinusitis usually starts with some infection or allergic reaction in paranasal sinuses. Stress, poor lifestyle and bad blood circulation due to lack of physical exercise can deteriorate the body’s immune response to invading organism in the sinus area. The problem with the current remedies are that they fail to correct the underlying cause that contribute to the sinus problems, so the disorder recurs. Second, they do not improve the body own mechanism for rectifying such disorders, rather they temporarily gives symptomatic relief. SKK Ayurveda And Panchkarma, one of the best Sinusitis Treatment Clinic in Delhi, India, provides natural treatment for all types of Sinusitis.
According to Ayurveda, Kapha is the transporting system for certain fluids collectively called phlegm. This fluid is normally protective, lubricating and cleansing for all mucosal linings. Because of the weakened Agni of digestive system, this fluid becomes abundant and of undesirable nature. It gets accumulated in the sinus because of lack of normal movement of air and mucous due to inadequate exercise, irritation from pollens, smoke, dust etc. If the accumulation of phlegm and disruption of air flow continues, it distorts the entire tissue structure (Dhatus) of face leading to tightness, heaviness and pain.
The goal of Ayurveda is to promote the body’s natural healing and self-repair ability not only to cure sinusitis but also to prevent the recurrence.
The treatment in Ayurveda consists of two main types, One is shaman chikitsa in which various herbal & herbomineral medicines are given to pacify the vitiated doshas.
However, if the doshas are vitiated beyond a particular level and get accumulated in minute channels, need to be eliminated or removed from body. In such cases, Shodhan Chikitsa (PANCHKARMA) is indicated.
In this process, whatever we give to the patients in the large doses, is being given in smaller doses. The same medicaments are given to the patients when they are hungry. The whole crux is to pacify the doshas instead of expelling them.
Nasya is a treatment wherein the medicines are put into the nose. The medicines are in the form of either medicated Taila (oil) or Ghrita (ghee) or Churna (Powder) or Swarasa (herbal juice) or Kashaya (Decoction) or Ksheera (Milk) etc. The medicaments and its form of usage are chosen and decided by an experienced Ayurvedic doctor.
Avoid any kind of cold/chilled food. Dairy and curd should be avoided.
