Panchakarma In COVID Times
COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans. The COVID-19 is the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. Since December 2019, cases have been identified in growing numbers across the globe. India is affected by the pandemic as well. But there's hope in despair because as the number of cases soar, so do chances of developing herd immunity seem to rise, because we do have the world's best recovery rate. Having said that, we at SKK Ayurveda & Panchakarma also made many changes to the way we interact with our patients. We began online consultations and continued to serve our patients as best we could. As the nation prepares for the next phase of relaxations in regulations regarding COVID-19 prevention, we see many patients coming back to the clinic however, we feel that there's many questions regarding safety of Panchakarma treatments during these times. Is the treatment room sanitized?
Panchakarma treatments at SKK Ayurveda are performed under the expert supervision of Dr. Tarun Gupta and even under normal circumstances, we ensure utmost attention to hygiene and cleanliness. As these are times that call for taking extra precautions, we sanitize the treatment room before and after each panchakarma session for every patient to ensure complete safety and your peace of mind.
What are measures adopted by therapists to ensure safety?
As we well know, panchakarma cannot be a no contact treatment. However, to ensure safety of both the patient and our therapists, here are some of the measures that are in place:

Regular temperature checks of all staff members and therapists.

The therapists wash and sanitize their hands in front of the patient before treatment begins.

The therapists wears a 3 ply cotton mask throughout the therapy.

The mask is also changed for each therapy.
What are the physical distancing measures in place at the clinic?

We do not allow large groups from entering or leaving the clinic at the same time.

We have limited the number of employees in common areas.

Where possible, we conduct consultations virtually.

For in-person consultations, we manage the number of employees and patients.

We don’t allow non-essential visitors.
